Born in Pakistan, 1997
Lives and works in Passau, Germany.

Her practice is deeply rooted in years of social engagement across Pakistan, where she worked closely with marginalized communities, including street children, border villages, and women in shelters. These lived experiences form the emotional foundation of her work, shaping a practice that interweaves storytelling with material exploration.

Khan works primarily with delicate materials such as silk and polyester fabric, combined with pine and larch wood, paint, and found objects, creating installations that engage viewers through texture, movement, and spatial experience. The transparency of fabric in her work evokes the fragile visibility of the narratives she addresses, while the solidity of wood conveys the weight of social and cultural burdens.

At the centre of her practice are faceless, childlike figures. Rather than representing specific individuals, these figures embody shared human conditions, reflecting purity, vulnerability, and universality. Through their presence, Khan explores themes of invisibility, resilience, and collective humanity.

Her work is deeply informed by Pakistani cultural contexts, rituals, and everyday life, drawing on traditional practices and social structures to highlight the complexities of gender, class, and identity. At the same time, she situates these narratives within a broader global discourse, examining how issues such as inequality, displacement, and resilience resonate across cultures.

Since relocating to Germany in 2022, Khan has immersed herself in an intensive period of artistic production, during which her practice has evolved into a space where personal experiences and visual storytelling converge. Her work continues to focus on the emotional presence of lives that often remain unseen, inviting audiences into a deeper contemplation of overlooked realities within both local and global contexts.
