Rooted in a portrait from Khan’s childhood, the work emerged from a photographic archive shaped through sustained encounters with children living and working on the streets of Pakistan. The archive becomes the foundation for an algorithmic process of fragmentation, repetition, morphing and dissolution, through which the faces hover between recognition and erasure. Within this threshold, the portraits resist disappearance and assert the presence of lives too often rendered socially invisible.
